Last date for DDA housing scheme extended to Oct 15

"We got requests from banks and applicants to extend the last date because a string of national holidays had prevented them from buying and submitting forms on time," said a senior DDA official.

The official added that 20 lakh forms have been sold, of which 17 lakh were sold at DDA counters. Though 3.5 lakh forms have been submitted, officials claim majority of them were submitted in the last three days.

"Out of the sold forms, we have received about 3 lakh so far, with a lakh forms being received yesterday only. As has been a trend, about 75 per cent people submit form in the last three days, so we are anticipating a rush around the new submission deadline," said the official.
